Viridian Metals Delivers as Predicted Great Assays

Monday October 26th is the full moon. Tom McClellan has talked about the importance of full moons on financial markets a number of times. According to his research, full moons do one of two things. They either mark an acceleration of the existing trend or they mark a turnaround.

Our metals markets have been down so his studies say they could go much lower or they could do an immediate turn. I know a lot of financial guys are predicting a turn higher from here. But my most valuable input comes from the Daily Sentiment Indicator (DSI) which shows a reading of 20 for gold and 16 for silver. The DSI is not yet indicating a bottom. Tom McClellan’s macro predictions call for a 13.5-month cycle bottom in the December to January time frame.

So, there you have it. The metals are either going lower or they are going higher.

I described the plans and progress of Viridian Metals (VRDN-C) about a month ago. Those predicted assays just crossed the wire. They are excellent.

Viridian Metals owns a 185 square km copper-nickel-cobalt property in Labrador named Kraken. Mineralization consists of a 64 km long series of small pods near surface. The company is drilling through the end of October with two drills and plans on testing 43 target pods. These are the first assays from the current program even though the project has been drilled in years past by other operators.

The company has completed 27 shallow drill holes so far in 2026 with two drills working until the end of October. Expect assay results to be released every two to three weeks until the program has been fully reported. Viridian originally planned an exploration target of an average mineralized thickness of about 8.6 meter. To their great pleasure these holes are discovering 30-50 meters intervals instead of the expected 8.6 meters. That means the project is a lot bigger than they had planned.

Investors want to see intervals of hundreds of meters of low-grade copper, with nickel and cobalt. You aren’t going to see those sorts of intervals here. These are shallow pods of mineralization similar to that of Voisey’s Bay which is similar mineralogy and on trend. The grade will be higher than with a typical porphyry but the intervals shorter.

In hole VKS26-062 Viridian reported 40.8 meters of 0.63% CuEq including 15.05 meters of 1.09% CuEq. Hole VSK26-060 showed 23.0 meters of 0.44% CuEq including 10.85 meters at 0.72% CuEq.

The intercepts proved to be about three times higher than management thought was possible with similar grades. Each hole showed 1.5% CuEq at the bedrock contact.

The Kraken deposit is a vast low-grade series of over 150 conductors or pods near surface stretching over a strike length of 64km. The project has been drilled and explored in past years but the combined prices of copper and nickel didn’t justify putting the project into production. Times have changed and with copper hitting all time new high prices the deposit makes sense. Analysts agree the future for copper looks very bright.

Viridian is targeting between 41 million tonnes to 61 million tonnes at an average of 0.35 % CuEq to 0.52% CuEq with an average thickness of 8.6 meters based on drill testing only a 2 square km Kraken Main target.

Kraken has been drilled in the past by both Teck and Kennecott with not all core actually assayed. Teck had one assay of 18 meters of 0.43% CuEq while Kennecott showed a hole giving 0.5% CuEq over 8 meters.

The real news here is the incredible number of pods or conductors already identified all less than 150 meters in depth. Viridian is drill testing only the first 100 meters so they will have a lot of shallow (cheap) holes to report. The current drill program only the Kraken Main target of about 5 square km. While the grade of the mineralization is not as high as that of Voisey’s Bay, the size and number of the conductors is much larger at Kraken.

There is an issue I want to point out to potential investors. This is the tightest held stock I have come across in twenty-five years of doing this work. Management and directors own about 62% of the shares, institutions own another 18% leaving only a tiny 20% of shares available to retail investors. You almost have to make an appointment to buy shares.

I suspect there will be a marker revaluation of the share price once the assays come flowing in. These are excellent results and support the theories about the potential of the project from management.

Viridian Metals is an advertiser on 321gold. I have bought shares in the open market. Obviously as an investor and since the company is advertising, I have a vested interest. Do your own due diligence.
