Decade Drills Big, Decade Hits BigBob Moriarty This year looks like a roller coaster for resource investors. January showed gold over $5500 and silver easing over $120 an ounce. With a parabolic climb behind the metals, a correction was both appropriate and necessary. We had it. August brought a nice bounce to not only the metals but the junior lottery tickets as well. The market is beginning to wake up to the incredible leverage the junior lottery tickets offer to the price of the metals. I wrote about one of my advertisers on July 9th. The shares were $.56 when the piece came out. And while I would love to take credit for the rise in the next month to a high of $1.42, actually I had almost nothing to do with it. While it is true that the company hit a barn burning hole 788 meters of 0.54% CuEq the real news was a new hire by the company. Hercules (BIG-V) hired six of the very top executives that had taken Arizona Sonoran from an implied value of $125 million in July 2021 to a sale to Hudbay Minerals for about $2 billion in 2026. Hercules founder and CEO Chris Paul buried his ego and convinced one of the top teams in mining to join the company as a group and to put up $4.5 million of their own money as well. That’s what you might call, a giant vote of confidence in the project and the good sense of Chris Paul. Investors jumped on the stock at once seeing the same good deal the management team saw. Not to be outdone, BCM Resources (B-V) announced over 550 meters of strong mineralization at their Thompson Knolls three weeks ago on August 6th. The shares that had been at $.13 a week before shot higher up to a high of $.77 based on visual inspection of the core. Assays are awaited for confirmation. Westward Gold (WG-C) made a similar move. Trading at $.135 on July 31st, the company reported assay results from trenching on August 4th. The company followed up with drill results from under the trenching on August 18th and more on August 25th marking what appears to be discover holes on a potential major Carlin Style gold discovery. The shares shot higher on the news by almost 200% to a new high of $.395. On August 31st, Decade Resources (DEC-V) put out a press release about the first hole they have drilled in a Phase 1 Drill program at their 80% option on their Bonaparte project in the Kamloops Mining Division of British Colombia. The Phase 1 plan is for drilling 3,000 meters into a High Chargeability Anomaly. It is the very first deep hole punched into the suspected copper/gold porphyry. From a strictly technical point of view, the hole was a 100% success based on the visuals. Company President and Director Ed Kruchkowski has done nothing more than followed up on drilling a buried porphyry first proposed by the geologists from the British Columbia Geological Survey as far back as 2013. This first hole has hit the core of the target as shown by the presence of moly. We shall see what the assays say about copper and gold but visually they should be there. The first hole was relatively flat and ended in mineralization. When you drill relatively flat holes, you lose the advantage gravity gives you. The 2nd hole will be steeper. The hole entered the core of the system targeted at 557 meters and bottomed at 621.6 meters. Ed will want to go deeper on hole 2. The price of the shares today is one of those good news, bad news stories. There are seven million warrants that expire on September 10th at $.08. That’s only seven trading days away. Naturally Ed would prefer those warrants get exercised, it would bring in $560,000 in cash from investors who have been patient for a long long time. In addition, there are another just over twenty million warrants at $.08 that expire on December 3rd. We can ignore them for now, those holders won’t be in any hurry to exercise in the same way the September 10th warrant holders will be. I highly suspect many of the shares being traded on the first day after the press release came out are warrant holders selling to pick up the warrants at a 100% profit. When that selling is satisfied, I see the shares going much higher. This is a real discovery hole. The shares were cheap when I last wrote about Decade in January. As long as warrant holders continue to sell shares to exercise their warrants there will be an overhang but this looks as if it is going to be a giant porphyry copper/gold discovery. The shares are up 65% in the first day and it is still absurdly cheap. The company has completed over 750 soil samples and 30 rock grab samples. Those have been submitted for assay. Decade Resources is an advertiser. I have bought a lot of shares in the open market so naturally I am biased. The company has done a great job of updating their website and prospective investors should visit the website. My only suggestion to Ed would be to consider doing a roll back at the same time he announces the assay results. The share count is absurdly high with 126 million warrants on top of 251 million shares issued and outstanding. Decade Resources Ltd ### Bob Moriarty |
