18k gold ZIPPO

My recent desire for a sterling
silver ZIPPO lighter -- for my ZIPPO lighter collection, using
some old UK Birthday/Christmas Treat money [thanks, A&A]
-- found me at Lighter Sales of Illinois website and prompted
me to glance
at the cherry wood box-encased 18k solid gold ZIPPO.
(FYI I had briefly said to
Mr Bob, prior to my 60th birthday in Sept - (he was in China
on my birthday) - that if I was going to give him a "60th
birthday Gift Wish List," something like a solid gold ZIPPO
would be numero uno, should 'anyone' want to spring for something
extra-EXTRA-special, me being the Big 6-oh and all that... But
his Bobship was answering email at the time, and it fell on deaf
ears, and heck... a solid gold ZIPPO is a bit of an extravagence).
I was, however, gobsmacked
when I saw that Lighter Sales are offering this 'millionaire's
treat' 18k ZIPPO for $US1695.95 [here].
On my internet travels I have seen the 18k gold ZIPPO for sale
for as much as US$4,000! Same lighter! And, BTW, even though
Lighter Sales ships tons of lighters a day, their personal service
was excellent!
So, go on, spoil yourself this
Christmas. And all the guys and gals who spend 18 hours a day
wheeling and dealing in gold/silver shares and futures, how about
a special treat for your patient partner?
