I was in Vietnam from July of 1968 until March of 1970. While there I spent seven months flying the O-1 Birddog. There was a variation of the O-1 called the O-1C. The Marine Corps had 25 of these planes built. I know of only 2 surviving. One is in the NAS Wildwood Museum located near Cape May New Jersey.

I will be speaking on Tuesday June 14th starting at 7:00 PM. Anyone in the area is free to stop in and hear some war stories about flying the O-1 in Vietnam.
